PROGRAM
Canadian Bowen School is a leading provider of the highly regarded, professional training and certification program in the original bowen therapy - a highly effective, natural form of pain relief that is truly indispensable.
Bowen therapy is an Australian technique created by Thomas Ambrose Bowen that has naturally and effectively helped to alleviate many health issues such as: back pain, sciatica, migraines, neck and shoulder issues, knee and foot pain, neuralgia, sinus issues, lymphatic drainage, carpal tunnel, bunions, plantar fasciitis, sports injuries, hormonal imbalances, baby colic, respiratory and digestive issues and much more. Canadian Bowen School provides training in small classes to ensure mastery of the skills required to offer natural pain relief to clients and achieve a rewarding career with great work/life balance.
In addition to the certification program, Canadian Bowen School offers a Masters program teaching advanced strategies in bowen therapy.
BOWEN CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
To become a registered bowen therapist qualified to work with the public, each student must complete:

Three classes of hands-on bowen therapy training.Each class is 3 days in length. Equivalent to the 7 module program. Case studies are assigned at each class for practise. 100 hours of instruction and coaching.

A written and practical exam (2 days)

An approved course in anatomy and physiology (Minimum 100 hours)

CPR-C certification (completed within the past two years)

An approved business course (minimum 10 hours) or experience running your own business.
Note: An exemption may be granted for previous anatomy, CPR and business classes taken.
If you have not taken an anatomy or business course previously, online or self-study options are available. Information on these course options will be provided to registered students at the first class (Bowen 101). These classes do not need to be completed or even started before the Bowen Therapy certification program begins.
All graduates of the Canadian Bowen School program will qualify for membership in the Bowen Therapists Association of Canada.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
While most of our students are regulated health professionals (RMT's, Nurses, Naturopathic doctors, Occupational / Physiotherapy assistants, etc) adults 18+ enter the program. Many other professions find it a nice second income such as yoga instructors, personal support workers, reflexologists, personal trainers, volunteers, etc. Start a rewarding career that won't tax your body and achieve true work/life balance while helping others alleviate pain naturally.
All bowen therapy classes are in-person and combine theory with extensive supervised hands-on training to ensure students have the necessary skills required to begin aiding in the recovery of a large range of ailments. Detailed manuals are provided for each module and small classes provide personal hands-on coaching to ensure mastery of the technique and protocols taught.

Bowen Certification exam: $500
A $300 non-refundable tuition deposit is required upon registration for each class that you register for. The balance of tuition for each class will be due approximately one month prior to the class start date. Manuals are provided at no extra cost.

MASTER BOWEN THERAPIST© PROGRAM:
Post certification, registered bowen therapists can pursue advanced studies. Upon completion of Bowen Advanced Strategies courses 201, 202 and 203 and membership in the Bowen Therapists Association of Canada regulations, a Master Bowen Therapist designation will be awarded.
